What Aloe Vera can do for you

What Aloe Vera can do for you

The healing benefits of Aloe Vera for our skin are second to none. Aloe Vera has been widely used in herbal remedies for topical skin conditions for years. The clear gel found inside the plant is extremely hydrating, anti-inflammatory and can help to treat burns, acne and dry areas.

This spiky succulent grows naturally in dry, tropical climates and many centuries ago, people realized this plant had more to offer than just being nice to look at. The gel and juice found inside Aloe Vera became a popular herbal remedy used to help treat everything from skin issues to digestive problems. Aloe gel is the clear, jelly-like substance found in the inner part of the aloe plant leaf.

Aloe Vera has been known for its healing properties for at least 6,000 years. In the early days, the plant was known for being a “plant of immortality” and was presented to Egyptian pharaohs as a funeral gift, whilst 2000 years ago, the Greek scientists regarded Aloe Vera as the universal remedy and cure all.

The name Aloe Vera actually derives from the Arabic word “Alloeh” meaning “shining bitter substance,” while “Vera” in Latin means “true.”

Growing up in Australia, we all know how soothing Aloe Vera can be after a long day in the sun. Its healing properties boosts hydration back into your skin and its cool, gel-like texture aids the affected areas and rejuvenates any impurities. This may be because the plant thrives in dry, unstable climates and to survive the harsh conditions, the plant’s leaves store water. These water-dense leaves, combined with special plant compounds called complex carbohydrates, make it an effective face moisturizer and pain reliever. Aloe vera contains 75 potentially active constituents: vitamins, enzymes, minerals, sugars, lignin, saponins, salicylic acids and amino acids - making it one hell of a powerful plant!

At Ellus & Krue we have carefully created products that use science to work with mother nature's soothing Aloe Vera.

Helping to gently remove skin impurities is key to great skin health, our  pH Balance Gel Toner  helps to remove excess oils, make up and environmental pollutants. With a high content of Aloe Vera, the toner will leave skin feeling hydrated and your complexion feeling fresh.

Paired with Cucumber, a known natural skin brightener rich in vitamin C to increase skin-firming collagen fibers, the pH Balance Gel Toner is filled with natures active ingredients to reduce pore size and soothes sensitive skin types.

Due to the high concentration of Aloe Vera found within this product, the Ellus & Krue pH Balance Gel Toner  is much thicker in texture than your ordinary toner.

Plant active Aloe Vera is also found in the Ellus & Krue Hydro Gel Cleanser. Including Aloe Vera within the cleanser allows for its healing properties to coat the skin and improve the skin's elasticity. Aloe Vera is proven to boost the skin's hydration and is rich in compounds Aloin A and B that assists in the maintenance of collagen. This active ingredient will penetrate the skin, leaving your skin feeling soft and moisturised.
